I was greatly impressed by the way he becomes one with drums of any size.
He is called "The Man Chosen by the spirit of the Japanese Drum(taiko)," and I believe he definitely is.

The artist's overwhelming, explosive drumming technique allows for no imitation. Combined with his technical and expressive mastery, he realizes an exquisite resonance in his music that opens up new realms for the Japanese Drum.
The world's biggest drum by personal possession "FUJI" is named "a miraculous excellent article". It is the magnificent scale that is far beyond imagination, and the sound of Kensaku SATOU creates with FuJi which could be make highly praised word of "A sound of God".

- ◇Held seven performances in Portugal, Spain, and Switzerland, to great audience acclaim, and was featured in overseas television, radio and print media.The Portugal performance, which was the centerpiece of the Celebration of 460 Years of Friendship between Portugal and Japan, was particularly acclaimed, receiving a standing ovation from the audience.

◇ Satou held his first fully solo concert, Tihayable(the Force of Deity), with just himself and the Japanese taiko on the stage.
It received excellent reviews from influential parties in different circles, and in June 2005, he performed a restructured version of his show at the National Theater of Japan in Tokyo.
On that occasion, the National Theater of Japan Web site referred to him as "the most noticed Japanese taiko performer today."
The concert was covered in the newspapers and all other media.
